Today's resort has grown from a small, family-owned business offering rafting adventures on West Virginia's many rivers and streams to a full-service resort with activities and amenities to suit every visitor's needs. In cooperation with our area partners, Star River now offers not only exciting rafting excursions, but also access to the following:

 

• Extensive wilderness park facilities with trails and a large lake that has a marina and beach for swimming. Skiing, fishing, and other water sports and activities are available as well.

• Lodging in one of our many cabins and chalets, or at our partner hotels or motels. Cabins and chalets are located in beautiful wooded sections throughout the resort with easy trail access to our lodging station resort store.

• Nearby shopping areas and restaurants.

• Stable and equestrian facilities and activities.

• Camping sites along one of West Virginia's many scenic rivers or in our sprawling wilderness park.

• Easy access to our wilderness recreation areas for adults and children.

• A rental shop for all water sports, biking, horseback riding, camping, fitness, hiking, safety gear, and other recreational needs.

• A variety of recreational activities, including golf, hiking, skateboarding, biking, and good old-fashioned exploring.

 

Star River Resort plans and conducts events throughout the area. You choose an adventure on one of our many rivers and streams. These include Big Sandy Creek and the Bluestone, Cheat, Gauley, Lower Meadow, Meadow, New, Potomac, Tygart, or Shenandoah rivers. Or, select one of our other many outdoor activities. We take care of everything else.
